The truth is I kind of sucked, I forgot to use a Tale and Fellowship's Heart when tentacles spawned

Re: Watcher raid - Youtube - Ministrel perspective
I gotta admit, people are pretty brave to post their own videos . There's another LM on the server who's posted some of his videos and, I hate to say it, but they reveal some glaring holes in his performance, like him just not hitting his key melee debuff for very large proportions of fights. As I said in the post mortem thread from the weekend, raid's are pressure situations pretty much designed to make you forget stuff and make mistakes.
Having said that, I reckon that watching a video of your play is probably a the best way of analysing your performance and improving it in the future. So I think it's really positive that some of you guys are doing this. Not only, as you pointed out above, for things like skills you might missed but they also let you look for opportunities where you could have used a potion or a cooldown to save yourself or another party member from death and also to see if you had some issues with your positioning that was meaning you took more damage than others, or made the tank's job hard or something.
I am really keen to make videos myself, but my system has issues with performance when running Fraps. Maybe I'll try playing around with some settings, but melting my GFX card and processer during a raid is not something that's likely to help my performance very much .

Thx Navalor.
I still have to clean up a bit my skills bar since I'm not using any skills for DPS anymore.
And I really have to start using binds on keyboard since after 3h of raiding my hands hurt from all the dancing my fingers do (I mostly use manual/mouse healing)
In case anyone wonders about the soundtrack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIfKqgWPVvk

The quality on that video is sexxy. Beautiful 1080 HD, does that melt your computer while recording it? it will be awesome if you're able to take vids of that quality in the OD raids.
Your UI setup looks pretty clean to me. I like the way you've got yourself and your target in the middle of the screen, that's what I do to and it works really well for me. but yeah, key bindings are pretty important. Do you use the F1-6 keys to select party members for healing? I do that most of the time and it's by far the quickest way to select people for healing once you get the hang of it.

Usually I use my mouse for selecting/healing ... I just find it a bit faster and I can spare my keyboard some stressful pushing on the F keys. I got a Microshiet SIdewinder X4 and the F keys arepretty small and frigile BUUUUT I could take myself a few hours someday and bind my S1-S6 keys with some macro/binds for fast healing.
Not sure of the stress on my rig but I think it's not so much ... I do get some lag/tearing/freezes from time to time (as you can see in the movie) but I think they are survivable
The biggest problem for me though is the HDD space ... I got way too much crap (around 300 gb of Comix mostly) on it and got only around 5 gb max of free space. And only 10 min at that resolution take around 2gb of space so ... you do the math

Oh, something I meant to ask, is this at double speed? If so, 8min kill time - that's pretty decent! Takes longer to put the raid together than it does to actuall do it lol.

Re: Watcher raid - Youtube - Ministrel perspective
Yes, I usually post them at 2x speed, IMO 8 min it's a bit too long and people might get bored watching it.
